The Girls

Watyr is a very serious girl. As a child, she was given everything her heart desired, but it didn’t make up for the absence of her parents. As the child of a diplomat, her parents were always away, and she was left in the caring, but cold, hands of a caretaker. Watyr learned the ways of the druid as a young girl, and has always carried the faith with her. She loves nothing more than the water she was named after, and someday hopes to learn the coveted water magic. She is skilled in skinning, a craft that supplies her with the materials to further her knowledge in leatherworking.

Amithyst was a child born out of wedlock to a high priestess. The people of her villiage called her “The Little Goddess” due to the circumstances around her birth. As she grew, her mother brought Ami with her as she traveled. Ami learned the art of healing and prayer, but always felt drawn toward nature than to people.

One day, when Watyr was still a child, her mother became very sick. Her father sent for a skilled healer, and Ami and her mother arrived later that month.

Watyr didn’t want or need a playmate – infact, she was very content to be alone, but the cute little snow imp was very pretty and very shy. Ami would stay very close to her mother’s side, hiding behind her skirts when Watyr even came close. This made Ami desirable to Watyr – something she couldn’t have created the need for it.

Children will be children, and girls can be cruel without knowing. Watyr set a trap for the little girl. Harmless, of course, but Watyr was unskilled. Near her home, beside the sea, she dug a deep hole near the water. Resembling a well, the crude trap was deep and filled with water. Covering it with a solid layer of light (a handy trick her nanny tought her), she pushed a thin layer of sand on top. On the other side, she pushed her kitten inside of the brush.

As if on cue, Ami heard the cries of the little cat and came running down the porch stairs and across the sand. Watyr pushed herself against the side of the house, begging it to hide her. For Watyr, this was her first successful attempt of melding into the shadows.

The trap worked perfectly, the light vanishing with Ami’s weight, sending her tumbling in to the water below.

Watyr heard her scream, and the splash, and found herself smiling. She carefully rescued her kitten from the brush, and then looked over the trap. Down in the water below, little Ami was drowning.

Realizing the danger of the situation, Watyr called to her to hold on. With all her might, all her strength, she pulled the water with Ami up and sent them spilling from the trap.

The world went black, and Watyr fell onto the sand.

When she opened her eyes, all she could see was golden light, everywhere. It felt so warm, so bright, it brought tears to her eyes. Slowly, as the light faded, She could see Ami leaning over her. “Danadres,” Watyr whispered. “I’m sorry.”

Ami smiled at her. “I need to learn how to swim!”

And that was that. Due to many adventures and a fantastic childhood together, Watyr and Ami have been best friends for years. When they first met, Watyr was eight, and Ami was just four.

And yes, Watyr tought Ami how to swim.

Amithyst has since become a skilled hunter. Her mother and the village were reluctant to let one of their most skilled healers leave, they knew, just as they always have, that Ami belonged in nature. At 16, she left home to persue the training of a huntress, and along the way learned how to mine precious gems and set them into wonderful pendants and rings. Almost as soon as she started out on her own adventure, she met a hurt little crab, and upon nuturing it back to health, had a new friend.

If you want to play with Watyr or Amithyst, they are on server ‘FeatherMoon’.

A little about me: I’m a 21 year old female college student. I’m taking Graphic Art and Design, and Photography. Unfortuantely, I’m the only Role Playing girl I know, so all my time is spent with the boys. In fact, I live with two: my best friend (who plays as Photo on Feathermoon), and his cousin. ^_^

Well, technicaly, when written, I hardly knew you still existed. Give me some time and I’m sure you’ll find yourself in Ami’s history somewhere.

Nice drawing, and nice writing as well! Wish I had time to make some of my RP related stuff public, I do write a lot of WoW fan fiction in my spare time.
